Skye St. Studio is a small textile design studio based in Sydney, Australia. It was founded in 2018 by Crystal Kruger after a decade of working in design and textile design education.
Skye St. Studio specialises in working with other creative businesses to deliver textile print design and surface pattern designs for fashion, textiles and lifestyle products. Our philosophy is to create exciting, fun, fashion forward prints with a unique perspective, to help your products stand out in a crowded marketplace.
At Skye St. Studio we have a particular focus on developing designs for digital textile prints. We generally hand sketch and paint design motifs, before digitising these and editing them to create exciting, trend-driven patterns with a twist. Working this way allows for the beautiful variation in tones and textures to come through into the designs we create, giving them life and soul and that personal touch.
Skye St. Studio is fuelled by coffee, indie music and intrepid travels. Crystal's background is in fashion design and textiles, having graduated from Whitehouse Institute of Design. It was here that the first inklings of her love of print and graphic design began. She is a creative at heart and is obsessed by the power of print and pattern to create must-have products that allow the consumer to express their personality. As well as teaching design, she has worked in-house as a print production co-ordinator for a digital textile print company in Sydney affording her the production know how that will be invaluable to your business.
